Comissioning a Portrait

Your portrait will be on high quality, acid-free paper, with adequate margins for getting it framed.

If you are considering making your portrait a gift for a certain date, you will need to contact Brenda and make sure she will have time to do it for you.

Below, you will find the guidelines you need to work with Brenda in creating a portrait of your special person.

Guidelines:

Carefully choose 2 or 3 photographs which show the person in good lighting, with good color (check eyes, hair, skin). These photos cannot be returned, so make high quality copies to send to her.

Next, choose the approximate size you would like for your picture. A chart follows at the bottom.

Consider if you want a background. Most subjects look best with only minimal background, so all the focus is upon the person, without distractions. Brenda can help you figure this out.

Once she has received your photos, she will call you to work out the details, giving you the cost, when she will be able to begin your project, and estimate when it will be done for you.

After you have both agreed upon all the details, she will send you an email with those decisions written out.

Know that once she has begun the portrait, changes cannot be made.
A deposit of half of the cost will be due at the time of your email agreement.

When the portrait is done, she will let you know. As soon as she receives your final payment, it will be shipped to you, insured and registered.

Cost:
Portraits begin at $225 and go up from there, depending upon size, background and other details.
